DIY Natural Body Scrubs

DIY Natural Body Scrubs couldn’t be easier to make yourself at home, all you need are some basic ingredients and most of them are ingredients you will already have in your home – beats paying that hefty price tag for shop bought ones. Body exfoliation is great if you want soft and smooth skin and it also helps boost circulation! I usually rub these in to my skin just before getting into the bath or shower and then simply rinse off! Once mixed store in an airtight container and they can usually last up to about a week.

Here are 3 of my favourite combinations:

1/2 Lemon – Squeezed

Jason Vitamin E Oil (You could use Coconut Oil here instead)

1/2 Cup Sugar

Lemon is a skin brightener and rich in Vitamin C and Citric Acid.

2 Tbsps Aloe Vera Gel or Fresh Aloe Vera

A couple leaves of fresh Mint (in tiny pieces) or add Peppermint Oil

1/2 Cup of Sugar

Aloe Vera is incredibly hydrating and contains a bunch of anti-oxidants like beta carotene & vitamins C and E these are said to help in improving your skins natural firmness. It’s also great for sunburn.

3 Tsps Coffee Granules

4 Tbsps Macadamia Nut Oil (Coconut or Oilive Oil would also work)

1/2 Cup of Sugar

The caffiene in the coffee is great for reducing the appearance of cellulite.

The Macadamia nut oil is rich and nourishing whilst absorbing into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.


I’d have to say the Coffee one is my favourite because I love the smell of coffee!
